minkey
Our Club runs Minkey hockey for preschool and primary girls and boys. Minkey is held at Kingsford Smith Park every Saturday morning from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Competition commences after the term 1 school holidays and runs until end of August each year.
Minkey is a modified version of hockey designed for mixed teams of girls and boys at primary school level. It is played on a field one-quarter the size of a regular hockey field with only six players a side. Because of the smaller field and modified rules young players have much more contact with the ball. Minkey has been designed as a safe and fun introduction for children into hockey.
